European Union (EU) will unveil a plan this month to tax big technology companies revenue between 2 percent and 6 percent, and it is more likely closer to 2% than to 6%, according to Bruno Le Maire.
“A European directive will be disclosed in the coming weeks. It will be a considerable step. The (tax rate) range is 2 percent to 6 percent, we will be closer to 2 percent than 6 percent”. French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said in a an interview with the weekly newspaper Journal du Dimanche,
This new plan is still in consideration for European Commission, and Le Maire continued to say “It’s a starting point. I prefer a text that will be implemented very quickly rather than endless negotiations. We will fine tune it later.”
