How to Manually / Automaticly Uninstall OfficeScan 7.0/7.3 Server on Windows server 2003
Description of Uninstalling OfficeScan 7.0/7.3 Server Problem: Some Windows users had installed Trend OfficeScan 8.0 Server onto Windows server 2003 and now want to Uninstall OfficeScan 7.0/7.3 Server, but it could not be uninstalled through Control Panel, always prompting the warning of OfficeScan 7.0/7.3 Server log can not be uninstalled, the uninstalling of OfficeScan 7.0/7.3 Server was failed.
Mannual Uninstall OfficeScan 7.0/7.3 Server for Skilled Computer Users :
1. Start – Run -> enter services.msc find and stop the OfficeScan Master Service services.
2. Start – Run -> enter cmd to open a command prompt, navigate to C: Program Files Trend Micro OfficeScan PCCSRV
Note: The CMD command can be entered like this cd C: Program Files Trend Micro OfficeScan PCCSRV to navigate PCCSRV.
3. Execute SVRINST-uninstall command.
4. Wait for the command is over, close the command prompt window.
5. Start – Run -> enter regedit into the Registry Editor.
Tip: We recommend doing the following before you have back up your registry (You are suggested to export . Reg file).
6. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Services
7. Remove the ofcservice items.
8. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Trend Micro OfficeScan next.
9. Remove OfficeScan project.
10. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Uninstall
11. Remove OfficeScan Management Console-project.
12. Navigate to C: Program Files Trend Micro OfficeScan PCCSRV folder.
13. Cancel PCCSRV Folder sharing properties.
14. Re-start your computer / laptop.
15. Navigate to C: Program Files Trend Micro OfficeScan PCCSRV, and then delete PCCSRV folder.
16. Remove OfficeScan site in Internet Information Services (IIS).
a. Start – Run -> Enter inetmgr to open IIS Console.
b. Expand the site project of ServerName with your computer name.
c. Gradually open the site folder up, then delete the sites of the OfficeScan related to.
When above all is done, you have completely removed OfficeScan Server.
17, Right-click on My Computer, select Manage
18, Right-click Device Manager, select View of Show Hidden Devices
19, Expand Non-Plug and Play Drivers, and delete (the followings may have been ignored and normal uninstalled) the following components:
Note: You’d better restart your computer when you would have finished this part of operation all.
