Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg did an public apologize apology on Sunday with a full-page ads in Washington Post, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and six UK papers The Observer, The Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday, Sunday Mirror, Sunday Express and Sunday Telegraph.
“We have a responsibility to protect your information. If we can’t, we don’t deserve it” with these bold letters at the beginning of the ads, Zuckerberg apologized this scandal and tried to reassure the users that they have taken further steps to prevent the similar privacy breach happen again in the future. However, according to the polls carried out by many media and organizations, fewer Americans in currently would like to continue to trust Facebook to obey US privacy laws and protect the user’s privacy well.
